Overview

This is a out and back trail along a gravel road in Leslie Gulch ACEC. This hike is less interesting than nearby Upper Leslie Gulch but for those who prefer the ease of walking along a road instead of a trail still provides a decent Leslie Gulch experience.
The route ends at a gate marked with a no trespassing sign.
Approximately 0.2 miles from the trailhead there is a side canyon heading east worth exploring for the more adventerous.

Getting Started

The trailhead is on the south side of Leslie Gulch road, 3.5 miles east of Slocum Campground or 9.4 miles west of the junction with Succor Creek road. The trailhead is signed. There is a rest room just northwest of the trailhead on Leslie Gulch Road.

Taking Children

Easy for children, as it is a road walk.

Hiked in mid-May and it was raining. Balsamroot and other flowers in bloom. Hiked up the side drainage until it narrowed and would have required scrambling/climbing around boulders.

Beautiful hike but not as much as the other two. It needs a new name, too.
