Donner Canyon Falls Trail Loop
Overview
This beautiful hike that features several waterfalls following winter rains. The route is most popular on weekends from about January through March when group hikes are common. At peak times, stream crossings can be wet. After rainfall, the lower roads in Donner Canyon can be very muddy, but higher up the soils drain better. Spring brings an abundance of wildflowers. In the off season, the flow in the creeks and falls is greatly reduced. Look for the Donner Cabin site off of Donner Canyon Road. There are no facilities on this hike, so bring sufficient water. No dogs are allowed in the State Park.
