Lacamas Creek Trailhead via Lake to Lake Trail
Overview
This is an easy, very family friendly hike in one of Southern Washington's most popular parks. You very quickly escape the crowds once you get past the dam by picnic tables near the lake. You find yourself in a beautiful old growth forest with waterfalls (and slides in the summer) in the middle of a well populated suburban neighborhood. There are cliffs to view the river and trails down from the cliffs to go and take a dip in the potholes below. It's a pure Northwest experience.
This trail goes by Lower Falls, Woodburn Falls, Camas Potholes, and Pothole Falls.
Getting Started
There is parking on either side of the lake and it will fill up, but people are always coming and going, so have patience if it feels crowded.
Taking Children
I couldn't think of a better hike to take children on.
