Overview

This is a very easy hike for people of all ages to get out and enjoy some old growth forests just outside of Portland. There are informative kiosks throughout the trail that provide you with facts about your surroundings, and the different trees in the forest. Dogs are allowed, and prevalent on these trails, but must be leashed, or else you will receive a hefty fine.

This trail goes by Tryon Creek Nature Center.

Getting Started

The park is truly enchanting, and you immediately feel like you're outside of Portland. Have a quick chat inside the visitor center, and enter just outside the building. Tryon tends to be busy all days of the week, but especially on weekends.

Taking Children

The ground can be quite muddy, but the trail has very low gradient, and is quite easy for anyone.
