Moderately hilly and well shaded. You only get far enough from roads to not hear them for a little while. It was muggy and buggy the day we went, but otherwise fine. We saw a doe just a few feet from the trail, calmly grazing. Also a coyote silently sprinted across the trail just ahead of us not long after.
