Like another poster said, this is Small Slide Lake Loop. Moderate difficulty, while the full Slide Lake Loop is rated difficult. Rideau trail is pretty wet in parts, but still a worthy shortcut. This is one of the best hikes I’ve done in the area, challenging and beautiful. Recording came out to be 14.2km in 3:12.

Be careful here. This is actually the Small Slide Lake Loop (9 kilometres or 5.6 miles, plus the access trail, which is part of the Rideau Trail, out and in) for for an 8.5-mile total. This is important because the actual Slide Lake Loop as noted in park literature is much longer. It's 21 kilometres plus 4.5 for the access for a 26-kilometre total (13 miles, plus the access out and in for a total of 16 miles). The two trails share the part that goes up the west side of Slide Lake. This is indeed the most challenging section, but if you continue on Slide Lake loop proper, you go deeper into the park toward Salmon Lake before looping back.
