Knobstone Trail Short Loop(edit)

Overview

This is a great moderate loop trail. You'll hike up on top of several ridges and hike along Delaney Lake. It can be made into a longer loop by hiking the other portion that goes by Spurgeon Hollow Lake. In the fall, winter and spring you'll be treated to some lovely view through the trees. Note that in late spring and early summer the ticks will be very bad.

Getting Started

The trailhead for this hike is at the end of the campground at Delaney County Park. At certain times of the year you may have to pay to enter the county park. A free trailhead is available to the south at Spurgeon Hollow.

Taking Children

This trail is not recommend for children, but dogs are allowed to hike on leash on this trail.
