Overview

This is a short loop hike with an elevation gain of about 300ft and a distance of 1.7 miles. The trail is blazed orange and is also known as the Alpine Street Trail since it begins directly from parking lot off Alpine Street in Emmaus. Although shorter in length, the trail is rocky in sections and can be difficult in certain areas. It can connect with other trails for a longer hike. The highlight of this trail include views of the large boulder formations toward the top of the loop. It also offers the chance to see wildlife along the trail. It’s found in the South Mountain Preserve area owned by Wildlands Conservancy.

Getting Started

There is a small parking lot at the end of Alpine Street in Emmaus. Trailhead is directly at the end of the road.

Taking Children

The orange loop can be a good hike for children because of the length. However, be prepared for rocky sections and muddy terrain after rain and snow.
