Thursday. Doing a longer hike and staying later to use more daylight!
Hiked to 4,800’ could see lookout. Gained 2,800’. Some snow here. Mostly melted. More snow as get higher.
I accidentally pressed finish track as I got near my goal. I was st the distinctive large old mountain hemlock tree. Trail has huge rocks to navigate here.
Hummingbirds zoomed close 3 times. Red shirt. Reddish cap. Birds not iridescent as usual.
Weather sunny light breeze.
