Xanadu 2020-08-16
I went east on Highway 2 to Peshastin and took the Derby Canyon Road several miles East to the base of the trail and parked. I rode up with another rider from Wenatchee and we had a blast coming down the ridgeline. This was my first ride here and I enjoyed it very much! The amount of technical was good and challenged me a little in spots for sure. The dirt was a little sandy but not bad. I didn't like the occasional climbing during the descent so the trail isn't one I would do often. It was a classic trail with views and payoffs for whatever technical level turns you on. It was a great day and I should have done two more laps but had a float trip to get to. Youtube videos will give you a better idea of the trail. Just search for "Xanadu Peshastin" and start clicking. Also, look at the face in the rock/cliff in picture number 9 behind, and to the left, of the bike! ;-)

Wonderful first ride of the day. I also did the Tres Hombres trail right after I finished Xanadu. https://www.gaiagps.com/public/0qEjRXrpgVtIJVxz95Dh9GSj/?layer=GaiaTopoRasterFeet The last two photos are the “Xanadu Man” rock formation.
