Hiked on a temperate, clear day with minimal clouds. Crazy rain the night before, but most of the start of the trail was protected and not too damp. Pockets of mud here and there, especially near the river crossings. Started the hike around 8am and made it to the top at 11am. Stopped and had a nice lunch by the old fire tower look out. Lots of kind, well-behaved dogs, and also friendly fellow hikers. View is phenomenal if the sky/weather permits. Little bit of rock scrambling towards the top, and the downhill hike back is really quick if you watch your footing. No poles absolutely needed, but nice to have for some of the downhill stretches I can imagine. This was my second 4k, and I would give it a 9.5/10! Was a bit busier than I would have anticipated, but that’s expected on a clear day.
