Overview
This is a moderate loop trail in Plumas-Eureka State Park.
This trail goes by Madora Lake.
Trail is improved packed gravel and is shaded most of the way. There is a nice creek crossing over a bridge. However, the lake is quite full of reeds and so swimming is not feasible like many of the other lakes in the area. The east side of the loop is close to water's edge, but west side is quite wooded with limited visual access to the lake.
Getting Started
There is a small parking area is available off highway SR A14.
Taking Children
This would be a good hike for small kids due to the short length, wildflowers in spring and summer, and flat terrain.
