This is a easy loop trail in Prescott National Forest.

This trail goes by Granite Basin Dam and Granite Basin Lake.

Getting Started

The Granite Basin Loop Hike is 3 miles long with about 372 ft of elevation gain. This hike a great option if you would like an easy hike with nice views of the surrounding vegetation with gentle grades.

The trail is very easy to follow and you start from the boat ramp at the Granite Basin Lake Recreation Area. You will pass a dam and the trail boarders a wilderness area where you can see views of the San Francisco peaks and Granite Mountain. This is a very pleasant trail in the recreation area and you can branch off to other trails as you walk this loop.
