This hike is rated Difficult on the SRKG site, and I agree that it is challenging, but so very beautiful--the why of why one hikes! We hiked from New Canada Road to Proctor Academy, and encountered challenging rock scrambles, mostly going up. The day was beautiful, sunny, and warm (70's). So happy to not encounter road walking on this stretch. Will definitely repeat this hike, and even with heavier pack as training for what I expect will be encountered for Whites hikes.
