This map shows the route from the trailhead to the peak. Reverse the elevation map for the return trip. It's recommended to combine the Sugatami Area loop on your way back down, or up, and enjoy the dense alpine wildflowers including the Kibana rhododendron and the Hokkaido native meakan kinbai. As well as the habitat of the birds Siberian rubythroat and pine grosbeak. Not to mention the Ezo red fox and Japanese pika.
