Beautiful hike on a late summer Saturday. 74 degrees and cloudy. Trail was well maintained, but Hawks Nest Trail bridge was washed out. Water was not high, so it was a relatively easy creek crossing and back on trail on the other side of washed out bridge. Local Boy Scouts were working on trail improvements at the trailhead. Surprised to have the trail almost to ourselves on such a cool summer day.
