Overview

This is a moderate loop trail to La Barge Pool in Superstition Wilderness Area.

It has beautiful views of Weaver's Needle and Battleship Mountain. It is considerably less crowded than some of the more well-known hikes closer to Phoenix (i.e. Siphon Draw and Hieroglyph Trail). It is beautiful in Spring when the wildflowers are blooming.

Getting Started

This trail begins at Canyon Lake Trailhead. There is parking for Canyon Lake Trailhead at Canyon Lake Marina, right across the street from the trailhead.
