Doughton Basin Creek Trail
Left out of Galax on the way home. Only 15 more minutes than Stone Mountain. Sun and 80 but early start I was in shade most of the hike. First 2 miles slight grade and like 1 lane dirt road to camping area. Next 3 miles single track with last 2 miles having many creek crossings that are sketchy and likely risky if it had not been dry. Anne could do but would not enjoy. Trail gets more rocky and roots further up you go. A top creek hike.

Basin Creek Trail to Caudill Cabin. Great hike! 16 creeks to wade through.
