Indian Creek Falls Loop via Thomas Divide Trail(edit)

Overview

This is a moderate loop trail in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

This trail goes by Indian Creek Falls, Toms Branch Falls, and Tom Branch Falls. It follows the Thomas Divide Trail past Campsite #51 and returns via the Indian Creek Trail.

Getting Started

From downtown Bryson City, NC follow signs to the Deep Creek area of the Great Smoly Mountains National Park. Continue straight past the picnic area to the parking lot at the end of the road. From the parking lot, start the hike by backtracking on foot along Deep Creek Road. Turn left across the concrete bridge onto Toms Branch Road, and follow it approximately one mile to the trail head for the Thomas Divide Trail on the left.

Taking Children

The hike is appropriate for older children who are comfortable with the mileage and elevation gain.
