Mount Bolivar
Overview
This is a moderate out-and-back trail to Mount Bolivar in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. Follow the trail as it heads towards Mt. Bolivar, which soon looms above you. Much of the forest here burned in the 2005 Blossom Fire. The trail switchbacks up the mountain. It is well-graded and not steep. Enter a section of unburned trees. Then climb a rocky slope where siskiyou lewisia bloom in July, then reach the summit. Once the site of a fire lookout, there are views in all directions. The rocky summit area is large enough for hikers to spread out and soak up the views.
Getting Started
The trailhead has parking for 3-4 cars. There is no toilet.
