Overview
This is a 5 mile loop trail with interconnecting trails in between to make varying lengths. The trail passes through several homestead sites where cisterns and manmade ponds can be seen.
Getting Started
Parking area is just off the road. The lot is small so consider a different hike if the lot is full.
Taking Children
The interconnecting trails make this a great pick for kids. If they get tired you can make the hike shorter. This would be a 7-8 for kids.

This is a great little trail for an afternoon hike! According to my Gaia GPS, the entire loop was 5.56 miles. We started our hike around 1 pm and finished around 4 pm. The trail was busy for a late December Sunday hike, but not crowded. The trail was muddy do to recent freezing and thawing. We saw typical Brown County Indiana scenery with steep hills and hollows. There was water in the branches should you need to water up.
