This is a longer day hike up to the summit Mount Gardner on Bowen island
This trail goes by Killarney Lake, The Lagoon, and Snug Cove.
Getting Started
Catch the Ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Bowen island, the trail starts from the ferry dock so there is no need to bring a car. Walk up the main road from the ferry for 500m before taking the first road right. There are multiple trail options on the island so it is possible to take a number of routes up.
Taking Children
The hike to the summit is long and poorly signed. Not recommended for younger children.
