Sycamore Canyon Waterfall
Overview
This is a hike to the Sycamore Canyon Waterfall. The waterfall can dry up especially in the fall, so going in the spring after a rainy season will increase the likelihood of seeing running water. It is a relatively popular area to hike. There are quite a few crisscrossing trails. Head south and and right following the route until Old Boney Trail (Danielson Road) where the hike turns left and heads east. There are two turns on the on Old Boney trail but don't take them just continue on the trail straight and you'll dead end into the waterfall. There are a few signs along the way but none right near the waterfall. The waterfall is on several ledges that it's possible to climb around on a little, at least for now, but there are now dramatic drops.
Getting Started
The hike starts at the southern end of Wendy drive where there is a dirt parking lot a long the road with free parking. There are no facilities on the trail. Point Mugu State Park does not allow dogs on trails.
Taking Children
Mostly single track trail and there are some high grass.
