Sea To Summit/Upper Shannon Falls Trail
Overview
This trail is currently closed due to damage to the Sea to Sky Gondola
This is a moderate to difficult one way trail in Stawamus Chief Provincial Park.
Winding through stunning terrain as it climbs up to a new hill top view point, suspension bridge, and gondola that you can ride down, this trail initially crosses over to and joins up with the main Stawamus Chief trunk trail that can lead you to the three Chief peaks, but just before the first peak trail junction, a sign will guide you to the right off onto the Upper Shannon Falls trail.
You can start this hike from the Stawamus Chief Campground.
Getting Started
The Chief is located on Highway 99 just south of Squamish and just North of Shannon Falls. To get there, turn off Highway 99 at either Shannon Falls, the Sea to Summit gondola, or the Stawamus Chief Provincial Park lot near the blue pedestrian highway overpass.
Taking Children
It's a fairly tough hike with some exposure and a couple of tricky spots, particularly near the top. Experienced young hikers should be OK.
