Overview

This is an easy loop trail that crosses Ogle Lake Dam in Brown County State Park. You will hike along Ogle Lake, through a nature preserve and onto a ridge. The mature forest is beautiful in its own right, but hiking in winter or late fall offers views of the surrounding ridges.

Getting Started

You can either park by the Ogle Lake Dam or at the parking area near the campground entrance. If starting from Ogle lake look for Trail 7 signs. If starting from the parking area near the campground entrance look for Trail 4 signs.

Taking Children

This is a good hike for children. There are some picnic tables along the trail near the lake that you can rest or eat lunch at. It's also possible to see turtles near the lake.
