Overview

This is a difficult out and back trail to Flag Point in Badger Creek Wilderness. Flag Point is a manned lookout.

This trail goes by Lookout Mountain, Senecal Spring, Oval Lake.

This hike is rated difficult as the elevation gain is on the return trip. Capture views of Wy'East from Lookout Mountain and through out the trail. Great rock formations. Given clear days, vantages of Seekseekqua and the Sisters to the south and Pahto, Loowit and Tahoma to the north and the Range lands to the East. The vantages from Flag point are why it is still manned during the fire season.

Getting Started

The High Prairie trailhead is across the road from a picnic bench, vaulted toilet and parking spots for approximately 10 vehicles without parking on the side of the road.

Taking Children

A trip to Lookout Mountain is more appropriate for Children and still providing great views.
