Overview
This is a easy out and back trail in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. The trail starts from the road up top and descends down a mostly paved path to the ocean. You're met with massive crashing waves in a tiny cove with sweeping views of Big Sur.
This trail goes by Partington Cove.
Getting Started
Parking is sketchy, much like everywhere in Big Sur. This spot is particularly popular because there are trails on either side of the road. There is some additional parking up the hill, slightly farther north past the trailhead. The trailhead is just past the guard rails on the side of Highway 1.
Taking Children
This is a great hike for children.
