Kesselberg - Jochberg - Walchensee Runde(edit)

Overview

Nice and quite popular hike from Kesselberg pass to well known Jochberg peak. The view from the summit is spectacular, to the north you can view across lake Kochelsee and the “Oberland” area (in good conditions you can see as far as Munich). In the south you view across beautiful lake Walchensee to the fascinating Karwendel Mountains. The descent leads directly to the lake (Walchensee) and along the shore back to the starting point.

Getting Started

Park along the side of the road at Kesselberg pass. The trail to Jochberg starts a few meters down the road towards Walchensee on the left side (signpost).

Taking Children

OK for children if they have some experience with mountain hikes. Could be a little too long for young children.
