Next morning, It’s a fast two hours hike on a gently graded jeep road, or alternatively (knees permitting) near the end of the road, a last steeper walk thru the forests on a path past a lovely waterfall to the bus stop at La Pissa (448m). Another 20 minutes on the bus (DolomitiBus #1) brings us to the Belluno train and bus station. Our trek, this hike of a lifetime, will be over. We will walk the 4-5 blocks to the Hotel Al Centro to check in and drop our packs, put dirty clothes in the conveniently provided washing machine, and REST! Dinner together (after a luxurious hot, private shower!) will be lovely as we congratulate ourselves and toast our successes! Monday morning we will head to the Tourist Office to present our trip booklets and receive our medals. Belluno, a very interesting and historic town, has good train and bus connections to all points.
