Upper Siouxon Falls via Siouxon Trail #130
Overview
This is a difficult one way trail in Gifford Pinchot National Forest. This is one of the most beautiful and secluded hikes in Gifford Pinchot. You encounter several breathtaking waterfalls and beautiful wood bridges. This is an excellent place to go on a hot day to cool off in the forest and take a dip in the river. Be warned: you will want to keep going and complete the circuit, so consider bringing your backpack and gear for overnight.
This trail goes by Siouxon Trailhead, Horseshoe Creek Falls, Siouxon Falls, Middle Siouxon Falls, and Upper Siouxon Falls.
Getting Started
As of September 2021, the gate to the trailhead remains closed to vehicles. This portion from the gate to the trailhead adds about 1-1/2 miles to the hike. There is plenty of parking near the gate.
Taking Children
This is a good trail to bring children on even if you don't complete the full trail.
