Overview

This is a easy loop trail in Coconino National Forest.

This trail goes by Devil's Kitchen and Seven Sacred Pools.

Getting Started

Sinkhole Loop via Brins Mesa is a 5 mile loop with about 640 feet of elevation gain. This is a fairly easy and popular hike in Sedona that sees moderate traffic. Trailhead parking is limited so you will want to arrive early to get a spot. This hike starts off with a view of Devil's Kitchen which is an amazing sinkhole where a large rock has fallen. As you continue you will enjoy the red rock formations that Sedona is known for. Watch for the Seven Sacred Pools as you head toward the mesa. Once you reach the top of Brins Mesa you should spend some time there taking in the views. This is a great family hike and I highly recommend it.

Taking Children

The is a great hike for children.

I would rate this loop as moderate-high difficulty. Lovely in late January 2019. We hiked counterclockwise (toward Brin's Mesa first), so that the Sinkhole was at the end. Not much wildlife out in the winter, but the scenery is outstanding.
