Tricouni South Ridge
Overview
This is a difficult out and back trail / scramble to the summit of Tricouni Peak.
The trail begins by ducking into the forest where the road end and ascending the valley floor beside the creek. Note: This trail can be VERY muddy up to the meadows, gaiters recommended.
When you reach the first lake with a small island at its center, bear right and up towards the peak rounding a second smaller lake on the left. Below the face of Tricouni at the third lake, pause and assess the route you can see from this vantage.
The remainder of the route scrambles up through periodic bolder fields and exposed rock face to the summit spire.
Getting Started
The trail head will depend on the clearance of your vehicle as the road quality is poor with deep water bars and washouts. The road ends at 49°59'02.8"N 123°15'09.6"W
