Beautiful hike! I loved the varied elevation so I got in a good workout but wasn't overwhelmed. The views of Mt. Diablo and the valley were great. Met a few cows along the way and plenty of cow patties. I went west to east / clockwise and the back ~1 mile was very muddy and wet (like holes of standing water due to the cows walking through before). I got my boots soaked so was glad I did that last (it's spring and did rain a lot the previous week). Otherwise this was really one of the most beautiful hikes I've taken in the Bay and can't wait to share it with others.
