Overview
This is a moderate out and back trail in State Forest State Park in North-Central Colorado. It runs along the West side of the Nokhu Crags to Lake Agnes. The trail contains absolutely spectacular views of the Nokhu Crags, mountains to the West, and Lake Agnes itself. The Lake Agnes trailhead is farther down however snowshoers and skiers will be required to take this route as the only accessible parking area in the winter is the highway pull-off.
This is an alternate route for County Road 62.

Lake Agnes, always beautiful.
Still some chunky snowdrifts in the woods past the historic cabin as you're going up the hill. Route-finding can be difficult. It may be easier to cut over to the edge of the screefield coming down from the Crags, and go up the snowfield in that gully, spikes required. The lake is still half-frozen, but I wouldn't trust walking on any of the ice at this point.
