Suiattle River Trail #784
Overview
This is a easy one way trail in Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest which leads to the Pacific Crest Trail and a couple nice, large campsites along with way. In the early summer expect a few shallow water crossings.
Getting Started
The Suiattle River Road 26 heads east off State Highway 530 about 8 miles north of Darrington, Forest Service directions).
The Suiattle River Road ends at the trailhead, so keep going about 22 miles until the road is gated. Note googlemaps labels the trailhead "Sulfur Mountain Trailhead" and doesn't lead quite to the end of the road.
The Suiattle River Road is potholed, a high clearance vehicle recommended.
Taking Children
Not ideal for small children. The trail contours a steep drainage wall and may have sections of washed out or blocked tread.
