Overview

This is a moderate out and back trail in Umpqua National Forest. This trail goes to the viewing point above Toketee Falls. There is fencing surrounding the viewing area and access to the bottom of the falls is not allowed. Please obey these rules as several people have recently died while trying to climb down to the falls. There are approximately 250 stairs to climb on the hike and it is not accessible for those with limited mobility.

Getting Started

From Glide, drive approximately 43 miles east on Hwy 138 to the signed trailhead on the left. From Diamond Lake, drive approximately 16 miles west on Hwy 138 to the signed trailhead on the right. Drive approximately 1/2 miles north from Hwy 138 to the trailhead and park in the lot. This trail is very popular and crowded in the summer, especially on weekends.

Taking Children

Children who are able to climb stairs and follow directions will enjoy this hike. It can be pretty muddy in the winter and full of mosquitoes in the summer, so plan accordingly.
