Beautiful but muddy and in some places a bog without bridges or crossings.
Not well marked with blazes, a bridge was out and borders private land, which if you accidentally cross to then you’re trespassing.
Parking maybe difficult. Lot fills and ltd side of the road parking. Make sure you watch for no parking signs.
All that aside, the lower falls are fantastic and the overall diversity of terrain and scenery is gorgeous. More than 5 miles, though. Beware. More like 6-7.

03/26/22Beautiful trail along the river and to the falls. A hiking stick is useful as there are lots of roots in places. (third point of contact for us older folks) On this trip there were also lots of wet and muddy spots, so waterproof boots are advised. Trail markings by the lower falls are hard to find but follow close to the river going upstream and you'll come across them.
