Overview

This is a moderate out and back trail in Mount Falcon Park which provide great views of Denver to the east and mountains to the west once you reach the top. It is a consistent incline to the top with intermintent limited shade and can get hot in the summer. Popular mountain biking, exercise and trail running area thus keep your head up. Typically you will come across some Mule Deer at the top amongst the various ruins which are great to explore.

Getting Started

The trail head is east to find just out of downtown Morrison. The lower east parking lot fills up quickly. You have the option to take the Castle Trail (allows bikes) or Turkey Trot (no bikes) on your way up/down, both ways provide different views and it is recommend to take both trails.

Taking Children

Adventurous older children with stamina would enjoy the consistent incline but others may tire quickly.

Trail is icy on the north aspects but generally manageable with out mirospikes (<- but they're very helpful!)

This is a fun loop without having to go very far into the mountains for a hike.
