Overview
This is one of the hardest legs of the Knobstone Trail (KT). There is lot of elevation gain and loss over the 6 miles. There are a few good campsites especially near Elk Creek Lake. Be sure pack or cache water as many of the streams along the KT are seasonal.
Getting Started
You are either park at the Elk Creek Lake or Leota Trailheads. Follow the signs to the trail from there.
Taking Children
This is not a good trail for children.
