Overview
This is a moderate out and back trail to Zebra Slot Canyon in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
The Zebra Slot Canyon is a short, narrow canyon with beautiful geological striations. The majority of the hike is spent walking in the sandy wash. Follow the GPS tracks to the slot canyon entrance. To enter the canyon you must wade into knee-deep water. Once in, it is fairly easy, but requires a little bit of chimney climbing.
Getting Started
There is a large parking lot off Hole in the Rock Road across the street from the trailhead. It is not clearly marked, but the lot is pretty obvious. It's directly after a cattle grate.
Taking Children
Children may be more adapted for this hike than adults because they can fit through the tight canyon easier.
