Fairyland Loop
Overview
This is a full-value introduction to classic Bryce Amphitheater scenery. The loop, which connects the Fairyland Loop and Rim Trails, winds through pine forest, hoodoos, and pink and white banded cliffs surrounding Boat Mesa. Terrain is rolling, making it as ideal for trail running as for hiking. Be prepared for a long downhill into the canyon and a stiff climb back to the rim at the end.
Getting Started
You'll find these trails in the northern part of the park, close to the visitor center. Pay for your pass at the park entrance, then park at either Fairyland Point or Sunset Point (Sunset Point is closer to the main road and has bathrooms, water, and other amenities.) You can also catch a shuttle during the busy season.
Taking Children
This is a long hike for children 8 and under, but the trails are safe and well-graded. Bring lots of water, as shade is sparse.
