Overview
This is a moderate loop trail to Eagles Nest in Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness Area.
This trail goes by Chocolate Hoodoos, Flat Top, Bisti Arch, Cracked Eggs, Petrified Wood, Hoodoos, Bisti Rock Garden, Valley of Bones, Alien Woman, and Elegant Hoodoo.

You really need to see this to fully appreciate it. There are no trails. You have to navigate your own way to and through the highlights. Every little pocket canyon is like it’s own diorama. You will drift into unexpected places. Just keep your bearings. Using Gaia is helpful of course, but you’ll need some old fashioned orienteering skills too. Bring lots of water and snacks.

We did this hike in December; it was dry, cold, and we were the only ones there on a Saturday morning. There are some nice formations on this loop, however the walk in/out is fairly long and boring. Of the 5 hikes we did over 2 days in this area this was our least favorite. There's plenty of good stuff to see here, but if your time is short it might be better spent elsewhere.
