Crowders Mountain via Backside Trail
Overview
This is a moderate out and back trail to Crowders Mountain in Crowders Mountain State Park. The trail starts at the Linwood Access Area and follows a gravel trail to 336 wooden steps to the summit of Crowders Mountain.
At the summit, the trail ends changing to large rock outcroppings which can be more challenging to navigate and climb.
Caution should be exercised along these rocks as there is no protective guardrail at the edge of the cliff.
Enjoy great views of the Charlotte skyline when the sky is clear.

Getting Started
Starts at the Linwood Access Area and follows the orange hexagon trail to the summit of Crowders Mountain.
Taking Children
Stairs may be slippery, use caution.
Caution at the summit as there is no protective guardrail edge of the cliff.
