The difference between this hike and the identically named trail marked as “easy” is that this one includes the Johns Rock Loop. Even with that included I wouldn’t rate this as hard, maybe moderate. I’m not in great shape and didn’t think it was that tough. Well worth doing. Cool river views, waterfalls, and the lookout on Johns Rock is awesome.

John Rock loop with some confusion
Could not find the start. Realized we had to go up gravel road. Could not do last creek crossing- water was high and dog refused to go )I could manage it) so we went around fence and down gravel road to fish hatchery
John Rock Hike 10/14/19
Another good hike with the High Country hikers. Great weather, dry trail, but several encounters with yellow jackets along the trail. Several hikers were stung. Used a "Therapik" on the stings.
