Mostly in shade; make it a pleasant hike during hot weather. Be aware of snakes.

Timber Mountain via Icehouse Canyon Trail
45F degrees when we started at 8:30am. Ice and snow on trail 1 mile in. Steady climb to Icehouse Saddle. From there, the .9 miles to Timber Mtn was steep. Great workout! Needed microspikes and used poles on the decent. Vault toilets at the trailhead. Adventure Pass needed to park. Icehouse Cyn trail was well traveled, but hardly anyone on Timber Mtn Trail.

Mr Timber 10 mile day hike
A medium out and back hike on a heavily trafficked trail. Trail can easily be obscured by fresh powder after heavy rains in the valley. Bring microspikes/crampons and gaiters if conditions are snowy/icy.
