We lucked out with great weather in early July. There were clouds and a light rain on the way up to keep us cool. Sunny on the way back down. I'd imagine that it would be very hot if the sun was out the whole time. There were quite a few folks on the trail and at the falls. It is very popular for visitors and locals in Telluride. Still, we enjoyed it and our secluded lunch on the creek near the falls.

Trailhead was 50 yards from my condo. Lots of hikers. Moderate for my level but definitely a great workout. The top of the falls was really cool.

Very scenic hike with excellent views of the valley. There is a good stopping point with a running river and big boulder as shade if you can’t make it to the falls. This was one of my first hikes in Telluride

In Telluride the Bear Creek trail. After 2.5 miles a gorgeous water falls. You can use switch backs to hike to the top. We steep sections and single track but fairly moderate to easy.
