Overview
This is a easy one way trail to Panther Creek swimming hole in Georgia.
The return trip is 3 miles, mainly gaining in elevation.
This trail goes by Upper Falls view and Panther Creek Falls.
Getting Started
Parking for the trail head is on old Highway 441. Weekends the area is very heavily used and cars that park with tires on the road will be towed.
There are several camping spots along the trail which follows Panther Creek all the way to the falls.
There is a pleasant beach area and swimming hole at the base of the falls.
The trail has several challenging sections which can be difficult for small children or anyone who has overestimated their fitness. Remember the hike back from the falls is 3.5 miles uphill.
