Tradition Lake Loop via West Tiger 3 Trail
Overview
Ready for an easy loop trail in Tiger Mountain State Forest? This loop has many alternative routes available to take if you decide to explore a bit more within this heavily green forest vegetation. Are you fan of mycology? There are a handful of different species here to observe, and same goes for you wildflower lovers!
Getting Started
This hiking route is located on the north side of the Tiger Mountain State Forest, a few miles east of Issaquah. From Exit 20 High Point turn south on 270th Ave SE. Drive south a few yards to Southeast 79th St., and head west until you reach the parking lot.
Parking in main parking lot requires a Discover Pass, but if you do not have one you may park in the general area before the main gate and take that mini trail just south of the gate. It's a nice little walk up to the parking lot and offers some great sightseeing.
To see a more clearer lake recommend going during the summer as during winter time all the leaves cover the lake.
Taking Children
This is an easy trail for children 8 and older to enjoy. Some points on the trail a tree may have fallen over so assistance may be needed for them to climb over.
This is an alternate route for West Tiger #3 Loop.
