Overview
This is a easy out and back trail to Mount Pisgah in Blue Ridge Parkway. It climbs steadily over rock steps to the summit, which holds a television transmission tower and an observation deck. Spectacular views are offered on clear days, and the hike is very popular among Blue Ridge Parkway visitors and guests staying at the nearby Mt. Pisgah Inn and campground.
Getting Started
From the Mount Pisgah Parking Area on the Blue Ridge Parkway follow the access road through the first parking lot to the last lot near the end of the road. The trail begins at the far side of the parking area.
Taking Children
Smaller children may have trouble on the trail due to the steepness and the size of some of the steps, but children eight years and above will find this an excellent hike.
