Getting Started
This very popular and highly traveled trail has two parking lots in case one is full. It is slightly less used in winter but very highly populated in other seasons. You will travel through private land immediately adjacent to residences so must be courteous and stay on the trail. There is a steep climb early on this hike but easier switchbacks follow up to a lookout point with exceptional views of the Gallatin Valley. Good hike in all seasons and can be snowshoed. For those who want a longer route, hikers can continue up the ridge.
